The short version
Function Health is a diagnostic product. Lifeforce is a clinic. That is the whole comparison in two sentences.
Function gives you 160+ tests across two draws for $365 and stops at the report. Lifeforce gives you a 50+ marker draw at home every quarter, a clinician consult each time, a health coach, and access to hormone and peptide therapies billed separately, from $599 a year on the annual plan or $149 a month.
OneTwenty is closer to Lifeforce in shape, with a bigger baseline, devices, and a lower monthly-equivalent price.
Testing
Function is widest on a single draw: 100+ tests, then 60+ at a follow-up. Lifeforce is narrower per draw at 50+ markers but tests four times a year. OneTwenty runs a 100+ marker baseline and three quarterly targeted retests, about 200 results a year.
Drawing blood
Lifeforce includes an at-home phlebotomist every quarter, which is the most convenient option here. Function sends you to Quest. OneTwenty includes Quest walk-in and offers at-home draws for $99.
Doctors and treatment
Function reviews your results and gives you an action plan, then leaves treatment to your own doctor. Lifeforce puts a clinician on a call every quarter and offers hormone, peptide and other therapies, billed on top of the membership. OneTwenty has licensed physicians review every panel and, where clinically appropriate, prescribe through independent licensed providers, with custom supplement packs included.
Devices
Neither Function nor Lifeforce builds around wearables. OneTwenty connects a watch, ring or band, a smart scale and a blood pressure cuff and reads them alongside labs.
Price
Function is $365 a year. Lifeforce is $599 a year on the Core annual plan, or $149 a month, before any therapies. OneTwenty is $499 a year, or $749 in New York and New Jersey, with prescriptions priced separately through the prescribing provider.
The honest case for each
If you want the deepest snapshot and already have a doctor, Function Health.
If you want a clinician on the phone every quarter and hormone therapy on the table, Lifeforce.
If you want quarterly retests, your devices in the loop, and physicians who prescribe, for less per year than Lifeforce, OneTwenty.
